MK 677, also known as Nutrobal or Ibutamoren, is a powerful growth hormone secretagogue that increases levels of HGH (Human Growth Hormone) in the body.

It was originally created to treat muscle wasting disorders such as osteoporosis. When clinical trials began, researchers noticed that it drastically increases the amount of IGF-1 and HGH in humans.

There’s no way to deny it: ibutamoren will make you hungry. Luckily, this effect is temporary and typically curbs by itself in around 2 weeks. Because of this, we suggest starting your cycle 2 weeks before you start dieting in order to get the hunger out of the way first.

Numbness in Hands or Feet

If you start to feel “pins and needles” in your hands and feet, do not panic. This is not a dangerous side effect, and a quick google search will show you this is a common side effect of growth hormone. While nobody knows why this happens, doctors agree that it’s not dangerous and has nothing to do with damaged nerves.

Anxiety

Whether or not MK 677 causes anxiety is currently up for debate, however the majority of experts (including myself) agree that pharmacologically it should NOT cause anxiety.

• MK 677 is taken orally, whereas HGH needs to be injected

Injections vs Oral

HGH needs to be injected under the skin (but not into your vein), while nutrobal is taken orally. For many people, this is a deciding factor when deciding which route to go. Most everyone will prefer the ease of using an oral solution rather than injecting.

Dosing Frequency

Bulking Cycle Results

Cutting Cycle Results

Those who are using ibutamoren for a cut will see a very high level of muscle retention while losing fat. Fat will be lost at an accelerated rate, and a lot of people actually gain a few pounds of muscle along the way. Do not expect to gain a lot of muscle on a cut, but you can be sure that your strength will not decrease as well.

Cutting cycles should be accompanied with a very high protein diet. We suggest cutting simple carbohydrates such as white bread and sugar from your diet to help lean you out.

Finding pure MK 677 for sale can be difficult if you don’t know where you should be looking.

One thing we’ve found is that it is faked a lot more than some of the other SARMs and research chemicals. We believe that is because it is more expensive to manufacture than other compounds.

Depending on where you look, people will recommend a dose of anywhere from 10mg to 100mg a day. Luckily, we have this study which actually compares HGH levels between doses.

What you see with the data is that there is a huge diminishing return with the higher doses. Once you go past 25mg per day, the amount of HGH and IGF-1 that enter the bloodstream gets lower and lower.

For that reason, the best dosage of MK 677 is 25mg per day. At this dose, you will get all the benefits without putting yourself at risk for water retention and bloating side effects.

Half Life

The half life of MK 677 is around 24 hours. You can dose once per day if you like, or you can split doses between morning and night. I prefer dosing twice a day (about 12 hours apart if possible) in order to spread out the concentrations evenly over each day. The less your levels are peaking, the better.

Capsules, Liquids, or Powders

There are a lot of different forms you can purchase ibutamoren in, but which one is best? I’m a big fan of liquids for a few reasons.

First of all, you get the most flexibility with how you dose. You can easily split doses between AM and PM with no issues, or even split it into three and take one dose pre workout. You can not do that with capsules, pills, or powders.

Another reason why we like liquids are because they tend to be more accurate. Getting 10mg of powder exactly into a capsule or pill is extremely difficult if you don’t have the right machines (which most labs don’t invest in). Liquids are much more reliable in terms of accuracy.

One of the best ways to use this compound is to include it with your Post Cycle Therapy protocol. Since it is not suppressive in any way, you can use it to help retain strength after a cycle of SARMs.

Another option is to combine it with low dose ostarine. I only recommend this if you’re coming off a heavy duty steroid cycle and are at risk of losing a lot of muscle. By using this combo, you’ll be able to keep a lot more of your gains than you would be able to naturally.

Typical PCT stacks usually contain either Clomid or Nolvadex. These SERMs are great at stimulating natural testosterone levels, but will also lower your IGF-1 production. Adding in a growth hormone secretagogue such as this one will counter act some of those negative effects.

Increasing your IGF-1 and HGH levels after a cycle is key to keeping gains, so ibutamoren will help you keep your results and prevent gaining of fat off cycle.

MK 2866

Enobosarm, better known as as Ostarine or MK 2866, is a Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM) developed by GTx (GTx-024) to combat muscle wasting and osteoporosis. Many speculate Ostarine may find uses in hormone replacement treatment plans, as well as in the treatment of sarcopenia, cachexia and muscle atrophy. This is a highly valuable benefit to those suffering from muscle wasting diseases, more so because SARM’s have been shown to not have an impact on non-skeletal muscle.

Ostarine Traits

As a SARM, Ostarine binds directly to the androgen receptors. While anabolic steroids also bind to androgen receptors, SARM’s cannot convert to DHT or estrogen. Officially belonging to a group of drugs, Ligand, MK 2866’s only purpose is direct anabolic activity. This SARM can be used for muscle growth or muscle preservation (diet dependent).

Ostarine, like anabolic steroids, will increase protein synthesis as well as nitrogen retention. However, unlike anabolic steroids, it will do so without any DHT (dihydrotestosterone) or estrogen conversion. While no direct estrogen conversion is present in terms of aromatase activity, mild increases in estrogen levels have been shown. This is perhaps why Ostarine has been shown to be good for joint health and healing. Estrogen often gets a bad wrap, but some is needed for good health and physical performance. It is, however, the direct binding to the receptor that is most important as it not only promotes anabolism, it alters the gene sequence directly at the receptor site; in fact, it is highly tissue specific, muscle and bone.

MK 2866 carries a half-life of approximately 24 hours.

Effects of Ostarine

Ostarine can be used for gaining as well as preserving muscle mass. For the athlete, this means it can be used in both cutting and bulking phases. The user can expect significant gains in lean body mass without unwanted water retention or fear of gynecomastia often associated with anabolic steroids. The individual will unlikely gain as much weight as he would from a cycle of Dianabol or Anadrol; however, the gains will be cleaner and easier to maintain post use. It is very common for the individual to associate all weight gain with positive gains when using certain steroids, but lean muscle gains are the only ones that count.

Ostarine can also be very useful during the cutting or dieting phase. This may be the best time to use the SARM for its muscle protecting qualities. In order to lose body fat, you must burn more calories than you consume. Being in a calorie deficit puts lean muscle mass at risk, some loss will occur. If we can protect our muscle mass during a diet, we not only look better we actually continue to burn fat. A loss of muscle mass will hinder the metabolism making fat loss difficult. Protect the muscle mass and you protect the metabolism. Ostarine will also offer up significant joint healing and repair, which is invaluable when dieting. Harsh or hard dieting can often lead to joint discomfort. If we can protect our joints, as well as increase tendon and ligament strength, collagen synthesis and enhance bone mineral content, we can continue to train and train harder. The effects of MK 2866 in this manner are truly beneficial in a bulking or cutting phase, but they will typically stand out more during the cutting phase. The effects of Ostarine in this regard are so strong data has shown it may directly treat injuries, and not a masking scenario as with pain meds but actual healing of joints, ligaments, tendons and bone.

Side Effects of Ostarine

The side effects of Ostarine are limited as it appears to be a relatively side effect friendly drug. Many of the adverse effects associated with anabolic steroids will not exist with this SARM; however, some will, although mildly.

Estrogenic: The side effects of Ostarine should not include those of an estrogenic nature as the SARM does not aromatize. There is no conversion of testosterone to estrogen associated with this drug. Water retention, bloating, gynecomastia or high blood pressure due to water retention cannot occur. However, data shows that some increases in existing estrogen may occur, but should be very mild and not enough to warrant the use of an anti-estrogen. If this very slight increase is concerning, if an anti-estrogen is used, you may easily bottom out your estrogen levels, which can lead to numerous hormone imbalances and related effects.

Androgenic: Androgenic side effects of Ostarine, despite directly affecting the androgen receptor should not exist. This compound does not convert to DHT; acne and hair loss cannot occur. Androgenic side effects associated with virilization in women are also impossible. As there is no direct androgenic activity related to DHT, prostate issues should also be non-existent.

Cardiovascular: The side effects of Ostarine should present minimal cardiovascular risk. Both HDL and LDL levels may be reduced, but all data shows minimal to insignificant reductions.

Testosterone Suppression: It’s often said SARM’s will not suppress natural testosterone production, and it’s true they will not compared to anabolic steroids. However, some suppression is possible, but complete suppression is not. A testosterone-boosting supplement may be warranted while using MK 2866. Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) data is somewhat inconclusive as to if this is needed. Some men seem to experience greater levels of testosterone suppression than others.

Hepatotoxicity: Although orally administered, the side effects of Ostarine do not include liver toxicity. MK 2866 does not belong to the C17-alpha alkylated (C17-aa) class of drugs like many oral anabolic steroids. It does not mirror the MI metabolite associated with the SARM S4 that gives that particular SARM some hepatic activity.

Ostarine Administration

MK 2866 is an orally administered SARM. For the purposes of muscle preservation when dieting, a minimum of 15mg per day is normally taking. For growth to be spurred, most users will find 20-25mg per day to be a good place to start. Some heavier individuals may find 30mg per day to be needed, but most data shows such doses often make little difference compared to the 20-25mg ranges in most men. Total use will normally last 6-8 weeks with 4 weeks of no SARM use once a cycle of Ostarine is complete. Although testosterone suppression may not be heavy, PCT may or may not be needed. However, some suppression will exist and it’s best to give the body a chance to normalize. MK 2866 carries a half-life of approximately 24 hours; once daily dosing is sufficient. There is no advantage to multiple doses per day.

RAD 140 is a non-steroidal SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator) that replicates the anabolic effects of steroids by binding to the androgen receptor.

RAD 140, and other SARMs were formulated to provide more optimal treatment for patients suffering from osteoporosis, cachexia and anemia.

Although anabolic steroids produce exceptional increases in lean mass, they also induce negative cardiovascular, hepatic, estrogenic and androgenic side effects.

Thus, through the mechanism of tissue selectivity, RAD 140 was synthesized to replicate the muscle-building and strength-enhancing attributes of steroids, but with limited adverse effects.

RAD 140 was described in 2010, after being formulated by US biotechnology company — Radius Health. Due to its recent creation, little is known about RAD 140’s effects, particularly in humans over the long term.

RAD 140 is considered one of the more potent SARMs, possessing superior anabolic effects to testosterone propionate in animal trials (mg per mg).

In clinical settings, monkeys have experienced a 10% increase in lean body mass over 28 days on RAD 140, demonstrating the exceptional potential for this SARM.

Similar to anabolic steroids, RAD 140 will also induce lipolysis (fat loss) and increases in muscular strength, due to its high affinity when binding to the AR (androgen receptor).

Due to RAD 140’s recent creation, it has not been approved for human use by the FDA.

Thus, it is only legal to buy for investigational purposes, specifically limited to animal testing.

However, this has not prevented bodybuilders from buying SARMs online; with manufacturers legally synthesizing and selling SARMs, if labeled correctly as ‘research chemicals’ instead of a ‘dietary supplements’.

RAD 140 has also been banned by WADA (World Anti-Doping Association), thus professional athletes are prohibited from using it and other SARMs.

RAD 140 Results (Before and After)

This user stacked RAD 140 (Testolone) with another SARM, known as LGD-4033 (Ligandrol). He also ran MK-677 (ibutamoren) alongside these two compounds.

MK-677 is often referred to as a SARM due to similar anabolic effects, however it is technically a growth hormone secretagogue (GHS).

This user experienced notable muscle growth, with some increases in visceral fat, made visible by a significant increase in stomach hypertrophy.

Increases in visceral fat may be predominantly attributed to the inclusion of MK-677 in this stack, with HGH-enhancers notoriously known for increasing insulin resistance and thus inducing visceral fat storage.

This user’s results, in terms of muscle hypertrophy, can be considered moderate — yet less than a typical first steroid cycle.

As a visual estimate, this user appears to have gained 10lbs (4.5kg) of lean mass, with RAD 140 likely to be responsible for approximately 4.5lbs (2kg) of this.

Although there is promise in animal trials of RAD 140 producing large increases in muscle hypertrophy, in humans we see a considerably milder effect.

Medical research supports such a hypothesis, with human trials comparing the anabolic effects of testosterone enanthate vs SARMs. Researchers found that SARMs added 1-1.5kg of lean mass to participants over 4-6 weeks; whereas testosterone enanthate added 5-7kg of lean mass.

RAD 140-Only Cycle (Before and After)

This user cycled RAD 140 at 17mg/day for 12 weeks. He experienced slight improvements in muscularity, albeit with an increase in subcutaneous body fat.

He gained 5lbs (2.3kg) in weight, with some of this being in the form of adipose tissue (fat), due to 12 weeks of eating in a small calorie surplus.

Thus, it is reasonable to assume that RAD 140 may have been responsible for 1-3lbs of lean mass.

In comparison to the first RAD 140 before and after transformation, this user has not accumulated a notable amount of visceral fat, indicating that the other user’s increase in gut size was MK-677-related.

Some could hypothesize that this user’s RAD 140 (Testolone) may not be legitimate, or significantly diluted, due to a lack of results. However, this user’s source was verified to be a trusted manufacturer.

RAD 140 Before and After (8 Week Cycle)

The above user administered less than 10mg/day of RAD 140 for the majority of his 8 week cycle, demonstrating that optimal results can still be experienced on a very low dosage.

This user experienced: significant fat loss (despite claiming to eat in a calorie surplus), enhanced muscle hardness, definition and thickness.

Despite gaining 10lbs on the scales, he personally stated that RAD 140 was not worth it for him; as his results were only mild and he experienced hair shedding (on the scalp).

This user’s experience indicates that low dosages of RAD 140 may increase the reward-to-risk ratio, with him gaining 10lbs and losing a noticeable amount of subcutaneous fat simultaneously.

RAD 140 Dosage

RAD 140 is not a pharmaceutically produced product, due to a lack of FDA approval, thus there are no dosage guidelines.

However, we see men commonly take 10-20mg/day for 6-12 weeks to enhance body composition.

Women typically take 5-10mg/day for the same duration, enabling them to experience the benefits of RAD 140, but without any masculinization side effects (commonly associated with steroid use).

RAD 140 typically comes in 10mg capsules or 10mg/mL liquid solution.

RAD 140 Side Effects

In animal studies, RAD 140 has been shown to be safer than testosterone replacement therapy, when administered to rats. This is impressive, given the general positive safety profile of testosterone, hence its FDA-approved status.

However, in humans, there appears to be a different trend, with RAD 140 demonstrating harsher side effects.

Liver Toxicity

Despite RAD 140 being a newly formulated compound, there is already research showing its ability to cause hepatocellular–cholestatic liver injury.

A 49-year-old man had taken RAD 140 continuously for 4 weeks, with intermittent use afterward. He took RAD 140 in conjunction with an anti-depressant (venlafaxine), that he had previously been taking for 11 months.

It is important to note that this man’s alcohol consumption was insignificant, thus the combination of hepatotoxic anti-depressants and SARMs may be a lethal combination — even if otherwise living a healthy lifestyle.

The user in the second RAD 140 before and after pictures also reported excessively raised ALT/AST enzymes, demonstrating liver stress.

Dr. Thomas O’Connor in his experience of analyzing over 2,000 patients on SARMs over a decade, has likened SARMs to taking 50mg/day of anavar.

RAD 140’s route of entry, being an oral product, is likely the culprit for such hepatic stress.

This is due to it having to bypass the liver upon entering the bloodstream, similar to c-17 alpha-alkylated oral steroids, causing excessive workload for the organ.

Blood Pressure

We have found that RAD 140, as well as other SARMs, have a dose-dependent effect on cholesterol [6]; increasing the risk of atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction. 

The second user, who took pictures of his results and recorded his labs (following his RAD 140-only cycle), reported a sharp rise in blood pressure.

This is likely due to SARMs passing through the liver, which stimulates the hepatic lipase enzyme, causing HDL cholesterol levels to decrease. HDL cholesterol is beneficial to heart health, with high levels reducing arterial plaque.

Another possible contributing factor to undesirable blood lipids may be RAD 140’s’ lack of aromatization. In contrast, several anabolic steroids do convert to estrogen, causing less significant shifts in cholesterol levels. This is because estrogen has a positive effect on HDL levels, thus inhibiting this conversion is not optimal for heart health.

Testosterone Suppression

RAD 140’s aggressive binding effect with the androgen receptor can suppress testosterone levels, similar to anabolic steroids.

The extent of such suppression has not yet been established, however, our anecdotal data suggests it is significant. The second user in the before and after transformation, administered 17mg/day of RAD 140 for 12 weeks, and experienced a sharp decline in testosterone levels — going from 750-193ng/dL. 

Thus, we see that clinical hypogonadism is possible with RAD 140, via damage to the HPTA (hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis); potentially impacting users’ long-term fertility.

All SARMs appear to have a suppressive effect on endogenous testosterone, however, RAD 140’s effect seems to be more pronounced than other SARMs, due to it being a more potent compound.

Gynecomastia & Water Retention

Although RAD 140 does not aromatize, it can still elevate estrogen levels somewhat via a different pathway. When SARMs are administered they begin to compete with a user’s natural testosterone for binding to the AR (androgen receptor). SARMs win this battle due to their superior binding affinity, leaving more free testosterone to convert to estrogen or DHT (dihydrotestosterone) — consequently raising both of these hormones.

Elevated levels of estrogen can cause water retention, bloating and gynecomastia. Thus, having a very mild AI (aromatase inhibitor) nearby when starting a RAD 140 cycle may be advantageous.

Androsta-3,5-diene-7,17-dione (Arimstane) is a mild AI that can be utilized to inhibit estrogenic side effects.

More potent AIs, such as letrozole, aromasin or anastrozole, are likely to be too harsh for a SARMs cycle in our experience. These can cause an undesirable reverse reaction (estrogen deficiency). Potent AI’s are more suitable for steroid cycles, where estrogen levels rise to far higher levels.

Hair Loss & Prostate Enlargement

Animal research has shown that RAD 140 may be an effective treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia, due to successful tissue selectivity; causing prostate shrinkage.

In rats, RAD 140 showed very low levels of androgenicity, requiring a 60x higher dosage to replicate the prostatic hypertrophy of testosterone.

However, we have had RAD 140 users still have bouts of hair loss, which may be attributed to higher amounts of natural testosterone converting to DHT, as it will no longer bind to AR.

Higher DHT levels will cause increased inflammation and hair miniaturization on the scalp.
